Here's a clip of the drum solo choreography that I created for my belly dance class. In this class I taught umis, figure 8's, isolations, drop kicks, zaki hips, shimmies, undulations, twists, formation changes and group dynamics. I had certain combinations that I wanted to teach my students and wrote out a sequence of drum patterns to match my choreography. Marc, our drummer, was able to learn the sequence and play it for us live in class!
I am now holding weekly classes open to the public for all levels. Classes are held at Madilyn Clark Studios in North Hollywood from 6pm-7pm.
